Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?
There are places you visit… and then there are places that rearrange your whole mindset and remind you who you are. Sitka, Alaska did that for me.
I wasn’t there on vacation. I wasn’t there with a tour group or a plan. I was there because life had cracked open a brand-new chapter, handed me heels, a uniform, and said: “Alright, Brandi—let’s scale.”
Sitka was my first trip as a Gulfstream flight attendant. And not just any ride… a Gulfstream. The jet people whisper about. The jet people buy when they’ve outgrown everything else. The jet that feels like gliding through the sky in a five-star hotel suite.
I remember stepping onto that plane and feeling this wild mixture of gratitude, responsibility, and straight-up “wow, girl… you really did that.” It was the moment the world got big for me—bigger than Tulsa, bigger than anything I’d known up to that point. I felt honored, humbled, and fired-up all at once.
Flying into Sitka was surreal. Snow-dusted mountains. Water like polished chrome. Air so clean it practically smacked you with clarity. And inside me? Something shifted. I realized opportunity doesn’t knock—it lands. Sometimes literally.
That trip taught me two things:
1. You don’t have to wait until you ‘feel ready’ to step into the next level.
Most of the biggest leaps happen when your hands are still shaking.
2. Gratitude is the real power move.
I was grateful for the job, the jet, the chance to serve, the chance to grow. Gratitude is what turned that flight into a cornerstone memory—not the glam, not the altitude, but the honor of being trusted with it.
Sitka became my favorite place not because of what it looked like, but because of who I became when I touched down there.
And honestly? That’s the same energy I’m building Marketing4Moms with.
Helping moms access those “Sitka moments” of their own…
Where the world opens up again.
Where they see themselves differently.
Where the opportunity is no longer hypothetical—it’s right there in front of them, engines humming, ready for takeoff.
If you’ve had a place or moment that shifted your trajectory, drop it in the comments. I love reading other women’s “this is where I leveled up” stories.
And if you’re craving that next-level version of yourself?
Stick around. You’re in the right digital hangar.
